Chevron Pillow Construction
Chevron pillows are a fun and creative use of striped fabric. The construction is easy. Here's how -
PHOTO TOP LEFT - First cut your paper pattern. Determine the finished pillow size. Draw a square and then draw diagonal lines to form four triangles. Cut out one triangle and add 1/2" seam allowances all around. Now center the triangle pattern on your stripe. Cut four for each pillow front making sure that the stripes go in the same direction on all four pieces
PHOTO TOP CENTER - Pin two triangles together on one side only, being careful to match the stripes.
PHOTO TOP RIGHT - Press open seams.
PHOTO BOTTOM LEFT - Continue with the other two triangles until the square is complete.
PHOTO BOTTOM CENTER - Add welt cord.
PHOTO BOTTOM RIGHT - Construct another square the the other side of the pillow. Match the stripes on the side seams also.
