This ultra glamorous powder room has all of the details right except for one thing - exposed PVC pipes under the vanity. The vanity skirt is metal so the question is - how to attach a skirt to the metal? Velcro. But how to attach the Velcro to the stand.

Road trip to Home Depot where I found Loctite Premium Construction Adhesive. The glue is thick and gooey and will hold almost anything to almost anything.

I spread the adhesive onto the inside of the stand and held the Velcro in place with chip clips for 24 hours. Yep, you read right - I used chip clips.

While the adhesive was curing I returned to the workroom to fabricate the skirt out of a glam metallic burlap and sewed the other side of the Velcro on to the top of the skirt.

The next day I returned to the home with the skirt. The Velcro was firmly in place on the vanity. It only took a minute to pop the skirt on - and - voila! - no more ugly PVC pipes showing.

The skirt is also practical because the center pleat opens up to store extra rolls of TP.
